So, if I understand this article correctly, Judge Judy is a bullying harridan who abuses people who are “below†her in the social status rung, and this is something we should praise and support? You can wrap this witch is whatever legal, sociological, and psychological mumbo-jumbo you want, but what it boils down to is this: she’s rides rough shod over any and all who do not fit into a rigid idea of what people should be and what they should be doing; she is a farce and a disgrace to the American judicial system.

Whenever I see this show, and it is infrequent, it just grates on my nerves. No, it’s not because of the faith-based themes that run throughout the show (although, they can be very condescending at times), it’s those damn kids. Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks are great actors, even if they are often given saccharine and meaningless plots, but those kids! Barry Watson, Beverly Mitchell and David Gallagher have always been good, if not great, in their roles, but the rest – Lord help me! Mackenzie Rosman, Tyler Hoechlin, and those twins are just awful. Every time I see them my head hurts. The show is a great family drama, I get that, but if it wasn’t for the fact that The WB has a different standard for success I seriously doubt it would still be around.
