I’ve never been a great fan of the 007 movies, especially anything after Sean Connery quit; although, Pierce Brosnan did have some good  moments.  The selection of Daniel Craig, however, may be just what the franchise needs to stir things up.  I’ve read several of Ian Fleming’s novels and the movies long ago lost sight of what he had in mind when the character of James Bond came into being.  Casino Royale was Fleming’s first Bond novel and if the producers follow it to the letter they may actually have something intersting to watch.

Everything Old Is New Again

Watching last night’s episode of Alias was like watching the first season.  Picture this:  a young woman thinks she’s serving her country, but comes to find out that she’s actually in the employ of an insidious organization bent on world domination.  Sound familiar?  Well, substitute Jennifer Garner for Vaughn and Rachel Nichols for Sydney Bristow and you’ve got season one all over again!  Were the writers and producers that strapped for new stories.  Hell, they’ve even thrown in an ancient prophecy!  So many returning shows have really disappointed me this year and Alias is among the worst.
