I really like the WB’s Smallville.  Occasionally they do some real bonehead episodes — last week’s Halloween-themed vampire episode being one of the worst.  I also like that they’ve added Lois Lane to the mix even though that veers away from established mythology.  Erica Durance has proved to be a great foil for Tom Welling’s Clark Kent.  This season she was added as a full-time cast member, but the writers can’t seem to find a positive way to depict the future Pulitzer Prize obsessed investigative star reporter, not to mention Superman love interest.  They do a better job of writing Lois’ cousin, Chloe, who isn’t even part of the established mythology.

Two weeks ago they had Durance strutting around in a hot bikini.  It was nice.  And tonight they have her parading around in next to nothing as a stripper.  Come on people!  You can do better than this.  The actress and the character deserve better — we get it already, she’s hot!.  Get her hooked on investigative reporting and get the ball rolling on the future Lois Lane.
