Democrats are doing the right thing, in my opinion, when it comes to the whole "war" on Christmas:  calling Bill O’Reilly the nut-job he is and treating the "war" on Christmas as the distraction and joke that it is.

No matter your opinion on Bush’s prosecution of this war these elections are a good thing.

We all want to fight terrorism.  We all want to ensure that our elected leaders, no matter their political affiliation, are doing the best possible job to keep another September 11 from happening.  However, we should never embrace torture.  I’m glad to see President Bush repudiate torture and support Senator John McCain’s anti-torture legislation.

You have to wonder what is up with Ford.  First, they capitulate to the right wing extremists and pull advertising from gay publications, which caused these groups to sound the horn of victory.  Now, they are saying their policies are not changing and they will continue to support gay rights.  How long will it be before the right wing groups starting calling for another boycott?  Ford’s troubles may be starting anew.  If Ford had just ignored the wackos they might have been better off in the long run.
