Laughable
I’ve always found most calls for boycotts to be laughable. Unless it’s a small, local company a few wacko wingnuts have little power to disrupt major corporations. The boycott called by the Reverend Ken Hutcherson against Microsoft is more lauaghable than most. As if this man could have the power to hurt a major multi-national conglomerate whose product comes pre-installed on nearly every computer manufactured. I doubt all those red state parents are going to toss out their PCs and make the switch to the even more gay Apple, or to Linux machines. I seriously doubt all those red state teenagers are going to give up their Xbox 360s. Granted, he’s just making a stand for what he believes in, but these boycotts are almost always failures. As much as Conservative Christians want to think they beat Ford, the company has made very little change in its corporate policies towards gays. Conservative Christians like to think they hurt Disney, but Walt Disney World still has its Gay Day.
