A Sign of the Apocalypse

Well, this may be a sign of the Apocalypse:  the movie most-reviled by Christians, and especially Catholics, The Da Vinci Code has now surpassed the worldwide box office of Mel Gibson’s blood-filled The Passion of the Christ.  It wasn’t that long ago I was predicting Code would be the big flop of 2006.  Well, color me penitent, it’s about to pass $200 million in the US and is well past $400 million worldwide.  Even more…interesting, Code is breaking records all over Catholic centers in Europe — even Italy.

Do People Ever Learn

What the hell is up with the rash of stolen laptops making the news, and why the fuck are companies still allowing their employees to carry personal and private customer information out of the office?  I mean, what does it take for these people to learn?  How much more danger do they have to put their customers in before they learn?  Here’s the really scary thing:  if it’s this damn easy for some petty thief to get this information, how easy will it be for for a fucking terrorist?  A lot of questions there, but unfortunately I’m hearing no answers.
