You can say what you want about Dan Rather’s mistake with the whole Bush National Guard brouhaha — mistakes were made by both Rather and CBS — but unless you’re a complete wingnut you have to admit that Rather has had an exceptional career. It’s just a shame CBS is treating one of their most well-known faces, and someone who put their new division on the map, in such a shitty manner. Especially when you conisder all the hoopla they made about the arrival of Katie Couric, a second-rate journalist compared to Rather.
