I bet there are some unhappy people in Bush World today.  The Supreme Court basically said the president and the military don’t have unlimited power to do whatever they want and ignore the constitution.  It’s telling that even Chief Justice Roberts hadn’t recused himelf the government would have lost.  Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the usual Conservative claptrap about how this would hinder the government’s ability to fight "…a new and deadly enemy."  That’s bullshit, of course.  The very freedoms the Bush administration has been playing fast and loose with are the country’s greatest threat against terrorism.  It a shame no one realizes that.

Of course, does this really mean anything?  This administration has shown a great willingness to ignore and/or circumvent constitutional law in order to get its way.  Hell, they’ll probably just ship these guys off to some country without a pesky Supreme Court.
