Who the hell is telling Bill Frist what to say these day?  Anyone?  The fool actually suggests that the Afghan government allow the people who gave aid and comfort to al Qaeda, the people who condemn women to death for being raped, the people who would not support democracy in Afghanistan be welcome back!  Yeah, Bill, that’s just what we need in Afghanistan, the Taliban back in power!

Once again I’m astonished at the hypocrisy of the religious right.  A mother in Gwinnett County, Georgia is trying to get the Harry Potter books banned because they are “‘evil’ and attempt to indoctrinate children in the Wicca religion”! What!  This is such a load of crap.  The attorney for the Board of Education right states that if they are going to ban Harry Potter for its witchy ways they would have to do the same thing to Macbeth and Cinderella.  Let’s add to that some other classics like Sleeping Beauty, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and a little series of books called The Chronicles of Narnia!  Of course, I’m sure Narnia would be exempted because C.S. Lewis was a committed Christian.

Who knew Sec. of State Condoleeza Rice was considered a celebrity and had a “celebrity image” that could be tarnished.  Regardless, if there is someone in the Bush administration who needs to be brought down a peg or two it’s Rice.  She was horrid as National Security Advisor and got promoted.  As Sec. of State she’s been little more than useless and no one calls her on it.
