Welcome to Life in Bush-Land, Wolf

Wolf Blitzer says he was “surprised” Lynne Cheney would question is patriotism for daring to ask questions she didn’t want to answer.  Well, Wolf, where the hell have you been for the last six years?  This is nothing new for the Bush-Cheney White House, and if we’re being upfront, Wolf, CNN has been one of the great enablers of this attitude.  Great job asking the tough questions, it’s about time, but don’t act like this hasn’t been going on since September 12, 2001.

What’s Up With Connecticit?

I guess I don’t understand what’s up witht he people of Connecticut.  They chose not to vote for Joe Lieberman during the Senate primary, but most polling shows Lieberman with a commanding lead over Democratic nominee Ned Lamont.  So what’s the deal?  Granted, I understand that Lieberman is pulling in a lot of Republican voters, but in order to stay so far ahead he also has to be pulling in a lot of Democrat voters, as well.  Why would the people of Connecticut try to boot out Lieberman and then put him in as an independent?  If they somehow think they’ve taught old Joe a lesson they should think again.  Losing the primary has only made Senator Lieberman even more resistant to changing his stance on anything, let alone Iraq; and putting him in the Senate as an independent will only make matters worse.  He could very well decide control of the Senate for the final two years of President Bush’s term!
