The more I read about the UCLA incident in which campus security tasered a student who refused to show his ID, the more disgusted I become. I understand the need for security and safety on a university campus, but based on both the student’s and the university’s responses to the incident, UCLA was way out of line. This went beyond safety and security; this was brutality in the extreme. Now, the student has retained a high-paid civil rights lawyer and the university has a good chance of losing. They can try to play the safety and security card, but tasering a student five time is beyond brutal.
I don’t believe in censorship, but if I was a publisher there is no way in hell I would publish book written by O.J. Simpson in which he "speculates" as to how he would killed his wife. This is the most disgusting act of greed I have ever seen and quite frankly Judith Regan’s reasons for publishing the book sound phony. If she was a victim of domestic violence, OK I get that, but as a victim of domestic violence why in hell would she want to glorify this son of a bitch, even if the money is going to the children? If Judith Regan truly wanted to bring light to domestic violence she would donate her publishing companies profits to domestic violence charities.
