…Rupert Murdoch in control of the Wall Street Journal.  While I think the the WSJ Opinion Journal is a purveyor of the worst kind of right-wing bullshit, I actually enjoy reading the Journal itself.  In my opinion it’s one of the best financial sources out there, but what will come of that if Murdoch gets control?  Will it become the financial version of Murdoch’s craptacular New York Post?  I shudder to think.

A lot of press is given to the Bush Administration’s assertion that Iran is the greatest threat to America right now, but I think we need to be looking closer to home.  As articles here and here begin to show, I think Hugo Chavez is becoming very worrisome.  And no, I’m not saying we need to get into some conflict with this nut job, but we’re doing now — which amounts to little more than schoolyard name-calling — isn’t enough.
