I’m not sure I understand the thinking of the Israel government in offering Holocaust surivors $20 a month as a stipend.  I don’t profess to know much about the Israeli economy, but something tells me you won’t get much for twenty lousy dollars.  We’re talking about 250,000 people.  You’d think of any nation, Israel would want to make the final days of these heroic survivors the best possible.
