Hillary Heads Right

It never fails, when a Clinton is backed against the wall they start veering to the right.  According to the honorable senator from New York, Obama’s progressive voting record is an area of for “examination.”  Since when is it a bad thing for a Democrat to be a Progressive?  Only a Clinton would think like that.  So what are these egregious acts of progressive voting?  Well, Obama would like give judges more leeway in senatacing rather than having the federal government control the situation from afar; that he had the temerity to be a an organizing factor in his community; and dared to associate people who aren’t milquetoast liberals like Mrs. Clinton.

I’m Actually Agreeing with Kucinich

I’m no fan of Dennis Kucinich.  He may have a strong progressive voting record, but he’s just not a viable candidate; however, I agree with him that ABC is unfairly excluding him their debate.  Networks do a piss-poor job with their duty to the public airwaves and the idea that they get to decide who is a viable enough candidate to be in a debate is both wrong and a bit conceited on their part.  As long as a candidate is still officially in the running they should be a part of any debate.  More disturbing about this decision is who ABC actually invited.  They still invited Bill Richardson even though he encouraged his Iowa caucus-goers to move over to the Obama camp.  On the Republican side they included the pathetic Fred Thompson and the nut job Ron Paul.  It seems odd to me that ABC would include these three and not Kucinich.  ABC is basically making a choice for voters:  Kucinich is not worth the time of ABC or voters.  That’s just wrong and very disturbing precedent.
