Sometimes it’s good to be reminded just how lucky we Americans are when it comes to our Constitutional freedoms, especially freedom of speech in the Post September 11 world.  The Canadian case referenced is a frightening example of Political Correctness run amok.  The article itself is a complete bunch of Conservative bullshit and Macleans should have offered a differing opinion, but that’s besides the point.  A society is either free or it’s not.  There are many times, in fact most days, I wish the Rush Limabughs of the world would go away, but I would have no problem standing up for their irght to say their asinine crap.  Sadly, I don’t think I could count on the Rush Limabughs of the world to do the same for me.  The people of Canada should be speaking up loudly about this.
