Part of me can understand why Random House has chosen not to publish The Jewel of Medina, a fictional novel about the Prophet Muhammad and his child bride, but the bigger part of me is angered and disappointed in Random House for letting fear force them into self-censorship.  If we allow fear the power to tell us what will or will not be published we are headed down a slippery and scary slope.  Random House should grow some balls.
